This collection of songs and music in Portuguese, field recordings, and archival material interlace with an uncertain sonic haze, where imperceptible tones seep through and saturate our ears when filtered by the Impulse Response of Alturas do Barroso: a village in northern Portugal’s Trás-os-Montes region. A place resisting the exploitation of its land. Pure endurance against Europe’s largest infrastructures for lithium extraction, energy production, noise and landscape pollution. Tudo bem? NÃO! The impulse responses are part of the “Endangered Spaces” project, in collaboration with ETC — Études Territoriales Curieuses, Lisbon.
