Alves Redol called them "Os ciganos do rio." These were the Avieiros, ocean fishermen who left the Atlantic to live along the riverbanks of Ribatejo. Today, that river is running out of fish, choked by mud and agricultural runoff. The nets are mostly empty, and climate projections show these low banks permanently slipping underwater in the coming decades. This broadcast translates that environmental decay into sound. Field recordings dissolve into heavy electronic friction and deep ambient drones featuring new releases by some amazing Portuguese artists. Tudo bem? NÃO!
