CLUB DiVA – DiV4 invites bakblivv
About this show
Bakblivv enters the CLUB DiVA villa, delivering a ride through bass-weighted club music driven by syncopation and rolling 4x4 momentum that unfold as a fluid continuum of bubbling rhythms, intricate percussion patterns and forward-leaning club pressure. Latin-inflected elements run throughout, colouring the pulse with warmth, swing and subtle elasticity, while UK bass mutations surface intermittently between the grooves, always integrated into the forward motion rather than breaking it. A blissful, almost dreamlike feeling runs beneath the surface. Airy synths, euphoric fragments and weightless moments drift above the drums, creating a sensation somewhere between trance and dreamlike state. Even at its most playful, the mix remains focused on movement, balancing emotional lift with pure dancefloor functionality. Rather than fracturing rhythm, bakblivv leans into propulsion. Kicks land with confidence, percussion spirals around them, and deep low-end pressure keeps everything locked in motion. The energy is constant – not rushed, but relentless, unfolding through subtle shifts in texture and atmosphere. Booty-shakes, head-spins, effortless kinetics a space where bass, rhythm and blissful club escapism merge into one continuous flow and girl… your hips figured it out long before your brain did. It’s impossible to leave the dancefloor now, your body knows it… it’s infectious! They shift the focus from deconstruction to physicality, exploring intersections between techno, house, and trance-like euphoria. In their selections, raw sound design and earlier influences drawn from Latinx music, reggaeton and bass culture gain a new dancefloor weight, while still retaining the emotional sensitivity that defines their work. cover art by Emi Trzebiatowska https://www.instagram.com/happy.obj.art/
