42 Cent Hotline - Catapràsima
About this show
1. (Zool./Folk anthropology) A Sicilian creature whose grey matter has solidified into a clay-like form; it is characterized by its absolute inability to react to external stimuli, especially of a humorous nature. Encountering a cataprasima may cause social awkwardness and sudden silences in convivial conversations. 2. (Folk medicine) A poultice made of various flours and medicinal herbs, cooked for a long time until reaching a soft, sticky consistency; applied to wounds, burns, or bruises, it was believed to promote healing. However, it tended to slip away, requiring constant attention from the caregiver.
